Car hire - an honest one?

Hi All,

Can anyone recommend an honest car hire (or is that an oxymoron?) that is also reasonably priced and doesn't charge a small mortgage for all of the protections.

You know the situation - you choose an Opel Corsa and, by the time you've paid for "fly impact against windscreen" cover and all the other variations, you've paid the equivalent for a Mercedes SLK.

Thanks for any pointers anyone can provide.

David.

I used Viber all inclusive for 2 weeks in December.

Decent price and all paid for up front including insurance.

Turned up at their office, popped the pin code in the key vending machine and the keys dropped out.

Dropped the car off after and they never even looked at it because it was fully insured.

Another woman brought her car back with a huge scrape along the side, same thing, no problem.

They’ll all be nice to you if you take out their own excess cover. If you don’t then there are a number of companies whose prices quoted are all inclusive like Lara Car Hire, Magnum, Edi, Coys, Perfect, & more

Can highly recommend Coys Rent a Car. Everything paid for up front.

Used them many times before deciding it was more cost effective to buy our own car as we come over for several weeks at a time.

Thank-you all for the recommendations. Most helpful - as is much of the advice on this forum.

A bit pricey, but Coys Rent a Car are second to none.

We used them regularly, then purchased one of their cars, which we still have 9 years later.

The owner Mike, got us our Spanish driving licenses too.

Honest, family run company, pricey, but you get what you pay for.
