Hi, what’s it like to live in Torrevieja? Is it quiet in the winter? What are transport links like?

Thanks 😊 Liz

We Like the winters there. Not too busy. We go for several months in winter. The transport links are very good.

Thanks, so you know anything about schools in the area?

Don't know much about the schools but we did see several pupils around the area. Not like in Majorca were there are several English schools and an American school. Think they are all Spanish schools.

Are there many English speakers in this area?

A few but most are Spanish speaking.  Odd ones try to speak English. I am lucky to speak both.

Would you recommend for a family? Planning a recon trip and just trying to narrow down areas

There is an English school near Villamartin.

But if the children are young , I'd recommend putting them in a Spanish school.

You'll be surprised how quick they pick up the language.

iThanks, two of my kids will be in secondary and one in middle school by the time we go. I would really rather they went to a Spanish school as I think they would integrate better overall. They have been raised bilingual (not Spanish) and we will all be having lessons for a good while before we go. Are there a lot of sports/teenage interests around?
