...ve for further 90 days until 180days have passed and ball starts rolling again. To the original poster, at present you could book for your October start upto 90days from January 1st, so in effect have approx 6months as Oct to Dec not monitored, but can't overstay until May as you will exceed the 90 days of Shengen rules from January 1st. This will only be possible this last time as you should really be applying for residency after 90days, (though not at present monitored).

Absolutely definite at present and doesn't look like any alternative in the future. Our government hasn't asked for any leniency regarding Shengen rules and Spain hasn't offered any alternative which would cause uproar as all other 3rd countries,, ie. US, Canada, Asia, Africa etc have had to abid...
