Hi all! Nearing completion of property, sun lawyers have our poa. I'm required to sign for direct debits of water and electricity which is fine but there is a signature required for sun lawyers to be paid €100 a year ongoing to manage this.... Does anyone have any suggestions?? Thanks Paul

Is it a kind of retainer for them to help and abuse should you need them. We never paid anything in addition, once completion was done. We arrange with Spanish forms to do mon residents tax.

Its what Sun Lawyers wanted to charge us for Fiscal Representation. I had already signed up with someone else, when they wanted to take the €100 by direct debit. I guess I must have signed up for it during the house purchase, without realising it.
I called them and they were fine about it, cancelling the DD.

It must be the time of the year. I too received an email notifying me that my original solicitors used in purchasing my property would be taking money from my account. I emailed them back asking what was it for and I was relieving them of POA. but never received a reply. What they don't know is that i have switched banks.
