wondering what interest is been paid by banks on savings accounts
Checked that our recently at Sabadell and the answer is nothing, lump sum may be invested for fixed periods with varying levels of risk according to the level you would accept. Your bank branch should have someone who can talk you through the options. There are plenty of financial services companies who would offer you their options. The best advice is as in the U.K. or Ireland proceed with caution.
