I have we just received an email from Sabadell bank. The subject was renewal of National/Foreign identity card.

I’ve never heard of these in the 21 years I have owned a property in Spain. I live in the UK so therefore I’m not a Spanish resident.
can anyone advise please.

I think your passport number will be enough to keep their records up to date.

We have recently had to visit the Bank to allow them to register our new passports. They explained that we won’t need to do this again until current passports are renewed in 10 years.

Hi, I can agree with the previous replies, the bank requested to my wife and I for the same issue as yourself because we had renewed our passports. Bank stated that there records showed that our passports had expired and they required to update their records,

Kind Regards

  Jim
