Hi there. New to this forum with my husband. Just sold up in Wales and planning to make the move to spain. Due to fly out on Monday, staying in Villamartin to get a feel for places.

I am a little confused, as we need to obtain an NIE number. I have dowloaded the EX 15 form (in spanish) with a copy of an EX 15 form in English to guide me through the spanish form filling! It asks for a Spanish address and we are only staying one week! it also asks for an address (in spain) for notification purposes and we don't have a permanent spanish address.

We want to buy a property but can't without an NIE number, but at the same time the form is asking for an address!

confused.com PLEASE HELP!

Hi, You don't need a NIE number straight away you can buy using your passport the same with a bank account, the NIE numbers can be added later, if you want to know anything else let me know, l can meet up for a coffee and a chat and let you know the best areas, l live in Villamartin.

Regards,

Alan.

Hi Alan, thanks so much for responding that is a huge help. Hopefully we will get a feel for different places next week, so we can make up our minds where it is we truly want to be :-)

Hi. If you want any local info let me know. I sell property here so l know the area very well and can point you in the right direction and recommend solicitors and banks and explain the buying procedures as they differ somewhat to UK procedures. Have a save journey. Alan.
