Does anyone know how long can someone from uk can stay in spain now, due to Brexit etc,. My friends want to rent a property with a view to staying here as long as possible!

Yes it has always been 90days but... the Spanish didn't enforce that, allowing many Brits to come here for "the winter" - whenever that is in the UK ha!
Since the UK left the EU they became a 3rd nation country so now those rules have to be applied in Europe ( not just in Spain) & ,as a visitor you are restricted to 90 days in a rolling 180 days - so after 90days, you must leave for 90days before you can return.
