Months required on passport to travel to UK from Spain

Thinking of going to UK later in the year, I hold a British passport. How many months do I need on passport to travel?

You require 3 months from the return date.

Returning to the UK with a UK passport - you can enter right up to the expiry date.
It’s only travelling out of the UK you need a certain length of time on your passport- varies for different countries.
For entering the UK you do not need any 'reserve' on your passport, in fact as a British citizen so long as you can prove your you do not need a passport at all to enter the country
If you are Spanish resident then your TIE overrides the 3 month rule and your passport only needs to be unexpired.
