We are moving to Villamartin in October and my husband has a regular prescription for statins.Will he be able to get them from a medical centre or will he need to make trips to the hospital?

Once you're registered with a health centre, the doctor will issue a prescription for twelve months.
Our experience is that they don't normally remind you when a blood test is due - you have to ask them.

Hi, you can get statins over the counter at any farmacia. I've been getting blood pressure tablets and statins over the counter every month at a total cost of €3.40.

Any pharmacy can supply you with them over the counter, no need to go to the Clinic, most medications are much cheaper than in the U.K. around two to three Euros for a months supply of Statins, others may be more expensive.
