Just another quick question, how much does it cost to transfer utilities into our name, not reconnection just the name change?

Solicitor will do it as part of the house purchase. Don't think there is a charge from the utility company

Thank you, but our solicitor is asking for additional monies over and above quoted original amount. We are very sceptical about this and thought we had better ask around be for handing over any more money

I paid 100e.That was to change the utilities over to my name and set up all the direct debits
