I have a property near villamartin. I’ve noticed that there is a sound of hard running water by my outside tap on my driveway.  I can’t see any water. Initially I thought it was next door running a sprinkler or something but I’ve gone to check and that’s not the case.  I looked at my water meter and it seems to be turning quite quickly. It’s obviously Sunday. What do I do? Do I call the water board? Who are they? I can’t find anything helpful online not sure if I’m looking incorrectly. What if it’s nothing and I get them out and I’ve made a mistake? I’m not sure what to do. Can anyone help please?

Firstly turn you water off at the mains. They have a 24 hour breakdown line on 900 101 270. They are only responsible for the supply leading up to your meter, from the meter to your house is your responsibility.

There are several leak detectors and repairers in your area. On a previous post on here (the Villamartin forum) they recommended Leak Tech on 627 752 965 but I don't think they have a callout system\

The leak is on your side so every turn of the meter is costing you money, turn it off NOW.

Thank you both. I have mains switch offs in the bathrooms but they don’t seem to turn off outside. Apparently a builder I called in told my neighbour there was a leak but they couldn’t find it three MONTHS ago and they all forgot to tell me. I’ll go search outside for a mains water thing now

Brad is great I used him recently.

Go to your water meter and turn the tap off. Every cubic of water that goes through your meter will be down to you.
