Do the majority of people drink the tap water in this area. I’ve heard mixed reports! I’m considering a water filter to improve taste and cut down on plastic waste.

Look forward to hearing any comments.

Thank you from a very parched person ☺️

I agree with RayD. The tap water in Spain is 100% safe. Only if there is some problem in some town the town hall tell everyone very quickly since people would put them in court if they dont.

Agree completely, suspect water is a thing of the dim and distant past.

Frankly I'd be more worried about tap water in the UK!

Spain has some of the worlds highest standards in supplying & the treatment of water. though I did read somewhere that if you have high or low thyroid levels (sorry can’t remember which) then the water can have an adverse affect in the long term not sure if this was because of the amount of chlorine in the water or how it is treated.   Then again a lot of things that are reported in the press are often sensationalised. Personally I drink bottle water for the taste, but use tap for tea, coffee, cooking etc. I suppose I should try and drink the tap water to help the environment and save money to buy a cheap bottles of plonk instead.

Maybe a Britta water filter might help with the taste - if they sell them in Spain.
