Unusual to have a boarded and plastered ceiling in the kitchen here as it is normally a false one with tiles. This allows things like aircon units (for ducted types) to be fitted along with wiring for appliances on the other side of the room.

The type of tiles are normally heavy stone type and you can add ceiling lighting to those without running it through walls.

However, we've used PNG construction for building and they are very good. They are on 678 935 968 and [email protected] for email.

Lady on the phone is English and the head of the company, who comes round to give the estimate, is E European and speaks excellent English.

Hi

I know Paul of PNG, and every client I know are satisfied by his works.

About the plaster ceiling, yes it's common, when the ceiling height is more than 2m40. This is not necessary the case for appartment, but house.

You mean you have plaster draw in your ceiling, probably square plaque 40x40cm, and you want then flat filled with plaster to mask the draws ?

Ask Paul or any housebuilder, a plaster, but I think it could be difficult, first because there is a paint over them, and could be a problem adding plaster over paint, and maybe some fat due to the kitchen activities.

I really think it will be better in time and money to buy new plaster plaques 40x40cm, flat one, and very cheap about 1.50€, for 9m2 means around 35€. Then to fixe them on the raw ceiling, either with rails, or common here with straw-and-plaster. A skilled plaster could do it in 2 days, take down the previous plaster plaque, install the new ones, ending the joins between plaques, and paint them. 2 or 3 day.

If you contact a professional who will do it, tell us how it was. I'm curious too.

Regards
