Now it looks like we can enter (Disposición 8449 del BOE núm. 121 de 2021) I thought it might be useful to start a thread discussing what we need to do and trying to get answers to some questions.

It seems like we might not need a PCR but I'm not sure if that depends on vaccination status. If it does how do we demonstrate vaccination status? Will and barcode generated by the NHS app be acceptable?

If we will still need a PCR, ignore the above 😁

I presume we will still need to complete a control form - Spain Travel Health (spth.gob.es)

I expect travel to Spain will still be against FCDO advice so insurance will need to allow for this.

Pretty fluid situation at the moment so any helpful comments / additions / clarifications welcome.

No PCR test Required to enter:

DENOMINACIÓN (mscbs.gob.es)

EDIT: Providing you have been in the UK for the prior 14 days.

Presume that also means that no 'fit to fly' test required either but this is TBC

We will still need to complete a control form - Spain Travel Health (spth.gob.es)

Watching with interest . Have a flight to the Uk on the 26 June for my MIL’s 90th. Flying back to Alicante  on the 1st.  That’s another month away so waiting to see what they will decide in the way of Covid tests in both ends .

Are you aware that if UK is still on amber list when you fly back on 26 June you will have to quarantine at the one address for your whole stay, before flying back on 1st July? No going out in the UK, visiting other homes etc…. I personally think Spain will be on the green list by then and all of the above can be ignored 👍

Another thing to be wary of. If you take out car-hire excess insurance. A lot of policies will not cover you for travelling against guidance. Something worth checking.

No drama !  Will be staying with bro in law.  I’m actually more concerned with catching the thing in the UK than I am here.

On leaving Spain, as it is currently Amber, you need a lateral flow before leaving and have evidence of having booked your day 2 and 8 PCR tests in the UK

We came back from Spain via Brittany Ferries to Portsmouth on 25 April. Booked Covid tests via DNA WORKPLACE at £180 each. Got prior approval from Wales NHS Test and Trace to be able to leave isolation to post the tests in designated post boxes with NHS PRIORTY STICKERS on the box. Just in case you have no one to do it for you .
