Hi,

anyone considering driving through France or Germany at the moment should take note of the farmers strikes that are taking place in Belguim, France and Germany. Particularly in France many roads are being affected by tractor blockades. We have friends who drove down from the UK last week, they were diverted twice in France due to blockades on main roads. Neighbours drove the other way returning to the UK via France, they faced major delays on the route to Tours, similar delays on the route from Tours to Calais.

If you have a deadline to get a pet back to the UK maybe allow some extra time for delays.

The blockades move on a regular basis so it's not easy to predict where they will pop-up. Luckily for both those travelling they had access to google maps, otherwise delays could have been worse.

The French are revolting, nothing new there then!

For info - there are farmers protests in Spain today, I saw on N332 Facebook page that there is a blockade of tractors on the A30 near Cartagena.  The protests are countrywide.

The French may have called a pause but the Spanish have just started.
