Problem with ants
Hi, can anybody recommend a good ant spray that is suitable for a kitchen. Seem to have a problem just over the past week or so. Appreciate any help with this.
Thanks

The last occupant of my house left behind a can of ORO Maton Permanente, which is very, very effective and claims to keep treated areas clear for a year. Spar shops used to sell it, but I've failed to find it in stock anywhere. A google search brought up THIS, which is a slightly different can, but appears to be the same other than that

Neat white vinegar kills them, also if you can’t get rid of them, as a last resort you can buy boric acid (acido borico) in powder form from the chemist. We paid about 6€ for it and it can be used numerous times. We mix it with either icing sugar 50/50 or chopped ham, as it depends on whether the ants prefer sweet or savoury. We put it in old margarine tubs or lids and hide near their nests. They swarm to it and once eaten they take it back to their nests on their feet. It kills them all, unlike spray which only kills the ones you actually spray. It’s bad for pets so it must be hidden somewhere they can’t get it and must be washed off hands well. We’ve also killed cock roaches with it neat. It took a few times of doing this but eventually we eradicated them all.

The best thing ever to kill ants is a white powder called Cuchol. Scatter a bit on top of them or the nests and they are gone in seconds. I have used it for years.
I get it from the ferreteria called Hipolito in Montesinos. The box is green and yellow.

If you go to Carrefour in Punta Prima or Torrevieja, you can get a Raid spray. Carrefour do the same spray for 20% of the price. Is it the tiny black ants? Paul
