We are visiting Torrevieja next week and would like to see what the area has to offer for a potential holiday home. Can anyone recommend any bars or restaurants for us to visit. We are staying close to playa del cura.

Thanks

There are Mc Donalds, Burger King's, KFC's and any amount of other fast food outlets, so you can feel at home, no matter where you come from. Chinese and Indian restaurants are 2 a penny, and north african cuisine abounds. Scandinavian restaurants are plentiful, due to high scandi residents.

Keeping my tongue in cheek, just what do you expect?. There MAY be some spanish restaurants.

Stay away from tourist areas, find an offstreet restaurant and pay €8 for 3-course dinner and don't go back if not good.

My personal recommendation for cheap, spanish and consistently good food is  https://maps.app.goo.gl/g9xa6ve8jDUsvURE7

If you’re looking for Sunday lunch or a weekday meal then Sands Bistro just off the front was very nice. Search on google.

It depends what you are looking for. There is a bundle of restaurants near Playa Cura, and on the promenade. If you don't mind price Sunset Beach are the obvious choice. In some of the others you'll get a 3 course meal with drinks for 20-30€, others again that is the price for one course. TonySmith said the rest.

El Muelle on sea front is excellent with something for everyone. Full of locals on Sunday so reservation requires peak times.
