Hi all.

Where is the nearest train station to Villamartin. Where we could take a trip to Madrid, alicante or Cartegena etc.

Any info would be appreciated.

The nearest is Orihuela, then Murcia a bit further away, and Balsicas-Mar Menor. Just look at the website:

http://www.renfe.com

The AVE high-speed link to Orihuela and Murcia is still under construction and isn't operational yet, so for Madrid you have to take the local train to Alicante, and take the AVE from there.

Hi Elaine

You've replied to a post from 4 years ago - you will probably get a better response by starting a new thread.

However... You can do this journey largely by bus, but it's a bit complicated.

I suggest you take a bus from Benidorm to Alicante airport, perhaps using https://www.beniconnect.com/

From the airport, there is a regular bus service to Torrevieja bus station, you can search for it here https://regular.autobusing.com/info?empresa=costa-azul&locale=es

From Torrevieja, your best bet is to catch a bus to La Zenia Boulevard, you can search for them using the above link. Note that the Boulevard appears in the drop-down list as "c.c. boulevar Zenia".

From the Boulevard there is a small bus to Villamartin, but they are infrequent (and don't operate at weekends). You'll be better off taking a taxi from the rank next to the bus stop - probably about 6/7 euros.

The nearest train stations are some way off, and from them you would probably have another set of buses to catch.

Cheers

Hi, you can try Rosa tours, they do day trips to Benidorm or if you are staying over you have to book a separate return. There are many pick up stops, sure there will be one near you.

Hope this helps.

Hello

This thread that you have posted your question on is 6years old  --April  2018. If you read it from the beginning, you will find the nearest  train stations to Villamartin.... you will also find information on buses  from Alicante etc.but you need to check the latest timetable for current times.

Cheers

Wow! Flying to Seville to go to Villamartin. You're talking of a journey of around 600 km. Be easier to fly to Alicante from Seville then the bus to Torrevieja from the airport then a bus to Zenia Boulevard and then a bus to Villamartin. There are no trains to Alicante so public transport from Seville would be by bus and probably several buses with at least half a day gone.

Probably cost you more than the flight from UK to Seville and definitely far longer.

If your only destination is Villamartin and no reason to go to Seville, change your flight and go straight to Alicante.

Hi Salman

There is more than one place called Villamartin. I think you want the one in Cadiz!

This forum is about the Costa Blanca.

Cheers
