Brian that is great and would be appreciated. I am retired but my wife is you get and a few years before she can retire so would be looking for some type of work. Any advice is so welcome.

Anything you need, just get in touch. If your wife needs to work, she’ll be on a different visa as a NLV does not allow for working/earning. I think the work one is a nomad visa but others may have clearer views on that. Certainly the paperwork/experience I have will suit you as you’re retired 👍

Hi my name is Ray, I have retired to Spain and lived in Pinoso for 3 years with my partner Jill.

Best decision we have ever made. You can buy now and get your NIE card when you buy your property.

The use as a holiday home till you decide to permanently move to live the you can do all the permanently living in Spain paperwork later.

All the best and good luck.

Ray and Jill Menecier.

The "A Place in the Sun exhibition" is there solely to sell properties (which reminds me of the disastrous "Time Share" companies) They certainly will not include the "Warts and all" costs and charges........

As suggested earlier it's best to find your own solicitors other than using in house solicitors that will certainly be recommended by A place in the sun....

...

Steve

Well not sure I agree with you on that. We went to one of the Place in the Sun exhibitions. They have talks on what to be wary of, the way the  legal system works when  buying. Question and answer sessions after each talk. We spoke only to certain estate agents, and were given some very useful information about different areas. We actually used  Casas Manuel to look for a house , as they were so helpful when we spoke to them at the exhibition.

Also their website has masses of useful information.
