Thanks

I used Britania, a nightmare, at this end as they use a third party for onward

movement from UK.

Hi All

I have an apartment in Torrevieja and have read this post with interest as I run a removals company in the UK.  We deal mostly with France so I am not touting for business here but would like to offer my advise.

Britannia is a franchise, I don't know how many there are but you can't rely on a consistent service, treat each one as a different company.  I know one or two that are very good and i know some that I would not trust to empty my bin.

To get the best rate for your removal you need to realistically calculate how much stuff you need moved and a time window when you need it moved. If you then contact several movers with this information they will look at what else they have going where and when it need to go. Some may seem expensive which may just mean they are not close by in that time frame and to deliver for you will cost them more time and fuel.  They are all human and would love to have enough work all going in that same direction to be able to offer you a good price. If they offer too good a price and talk about amazing service be careful. If it too good to be true it probably is.  Talk to them, don't just email, you don't want to be a number, be a person!

Hi there I am planning to maybe use Britannia Appleyards of South Yorkshire if I manage to sell my house and move to Altea from West Yorkshire.  I was wondering if the 'Britania' you mentioned are the same company?  I would really appreciate a reply.  Thanks Jill

I think if you read Brady's comment that will probably explain it for you.
