Hi, We have got our Residency and are currently Renting a Villa in Albir, We will be Buying a Property sometime next year , but we are Confused about Capital Gains Tax in Spain. We have been told that if we put our entire amount obtained from our Property Sale into the Purchase of a Property in Spain that we wont pay capital Gains Tax in Spain, but our Solicitor says that its " not as Simple as that ".We also have a Second property in the UK , but our Capitol Gain will not be much on that. Could anyone in the know please advise us. Regards..... Chris

Hi Ray, Thank You for your reply, although its not really what we were hoping for. Regarding our Solicitor,,, We have used a Firm of English Speaking Solicitors in Spain and they have helped us at every step of our Residency, and they have a lot of experience of that and Spanish Tax Returns. Any other like to comment ? Thank You ….. Chris
