Hi there planning to travel from Wales by ferry or Channel tunnel as we have bought a dog!! Advice please ferry to Roscoff ???? Or elsewhere versus Channel Tunnel? I know tunnel is cheaper versus length of drive
Then - where should we stop en route. We are in our 60,s so 12 hour days driving don’t work!  advice please re where we should stop on the way to break up journey. Pet friendly recommendations would be fantastic!

If you look on booking.com, enter a date and search, you will get filters down the left hand side. Under "facilities" you will find the pet friendly filter. I've done it twice, once booking in advance and once booking as we went and the second option was so much easier..There are so many options for the route through France so recommendations for particular hotels will only put pressure on you to reach a certain place by a certain time. The first time we tried avoiding many of the tolls, the second time we kept to the E15 route the whole way down which was  much easier although we did plan to get to Paris at silly o'clock and just sailed through.
Both times we came via the tunnel which was easy with doggy areas both sides.
I've never used the ferry but I understand the Bilbao or Santander routes get booked up way in advance for dog friendly cabins
Make sure you have all the relevant jabs and paperwork for your dog both ways.

you should consider the Portsmouth/Plymouth/Bilbao/Santander route, less driving probably only need one stop through spain
