I'm lead to believe that if I run it from the mains this method will move my tariff to a higher user band. Can anyone confirm this? and can I negotiate it back down with the water company? The only other means i'm aware of is delivery buy tanker, can someone please share costings and any info.

Thanks

Simchard, I'm not familiar with your area, but I spent ten years and more working on pools, and I never once found it cheaper to use a tanker.

On several occasions, community presidents insisted on using tankers, and I arranged this on their behalf, but it was hard going, and once or twice the water quality was very poor. The tanker here locally is 10,000 litres, so if they are the same in your area, you will need eight visits.

Our water company has graduated rates per cubic metre. The attached copy of our water bill for when we last filled our pool is attached to give you an idea of what your water company might charge, compared with a quote you can get from the tanker company.

Thank you Geoff,

That's exactly the information I'm after.

Much appreciated

Simon

Hi,

Not sure what the water company’s rates are per M3 (1000lts) but I have used two firms before...one in Dolores who Bring 14000 lts of drinking quality water for 80 euros per tanker and another from Callosa who charge 50 euros for 12000 lts but it’s agricultural water and although ok for pools it needs more chemicals to clean it!

Hope that helps as a comparison?

Expect to pay approx €70.00 / 10,000 by tanker.

It is correct the water authorities will charge an extended rate.
