For the last twelve months, we paid €1167, so you've definitely got a problem.

I can't speculate why, but suggest you turn off the main circuit breaker to the property and have a look to see if the meter is still registering usage. That would imply a faulty meter or someone else tapping into your supply.

It's difficult to judge what's excessive without knowing some details of the property concerned.

For a sizeable older house with poor insulation an average of €375/mth (€4500/12) is not infeasible.

Thank you for your reply.  We don’t live there on a full time basis but we have ask someone to check the meter usage and see where that gets us.

Living in an apartment full time we are paying around 50€ a month, which is 600€ a year, think there is something wrong with your bill unless you are using an excessive amount of electricity.

Hi You most definitely have a problem. We have paid 646.35€ ( 5.5kw) for 9 months. We have a large villa, with three en suites. Run our air con for 10 hours per night July/Aug and some of Sept. Had the pool pump running for 6 hours during those months, it still runs for 2 hours even now. So you really need to get some one out. Hope you get it sorted 😎
