I can agree its been a warm year in spain. Normally, during the last twenty years, costa blanca, we have had an over 40c event for 2 or 3 days every 6/7 years but this year we had several weeks worth of over 40c. And this december weve had the low 20's for most of the month, which is warmer than normal.
In truth, its 50/50 whether I would prefer 2 months of english winter or the inferno of southern costas in spain.

"This year has become the hottest for Spain in the entire history of observations.
For Spain, the outgoing year 2022 turned out to be the hottest in the history of meteorological observations, which have been conducted since 1961.
The National Weather Service reports that the average temperature for the year was recorded above 15 degrees Celsius for the first time. Also, 2022 may turn out to be one of the driest: only in 2005 and 2017, less precipitation fell in Spain.
The four hottest years in Spain occurred after 2015.PreviousGo ToTop Posts

How quickly people forget the wettest March and April on record. Plus the fact that the area achieved the wettest May on record by data issued on May 3.

But then we also set the record for was it 82 or 84 tropical nights.

I must admit I had forgot about the wet spring, maybe the warmer weather caused more rain in spring.

I keep waiting for the cold weather to come but I see that we have another good week.
