Food section in El Corte Ingles - better options in Alicante branch or Elche?

Hi there, we have visited lots of El Corte Ingles stores throughout Spain and often found the food section pretty varied and interesting. The store in central Alicante is quite limited and I was wondering whether the store at Elche has a bigger food section?  In other El Corte Ingles stores in other regions they used to have a 'supercor' supermarket within the store which obviously had a huge choice of things.  I'm assuming obviously that local population size/demand/income has an impact on what's available in each store in each region. Just trying to figure out which store in Alicante would have the biggest choice of things. thanks

Hi Dubiner,

El Corte Ingles in Elche has a huge Supercor on the ground floor.  It also sells high-end, specialist food and drink in the same section as the Nespresso boutique on one of the upper floors. The store has it's own free, underground parking.

Kind regards,

Kim

Hi Kim

Great thank you for getting back to me - apologies as I've had problems with my email account. This is exactly what we were hoping to find as this is what we have visited before in other parts of Spain.  This is great news - especially the underground carparking!!  We'll be heading there once we get there next week!  thank you once again!!

Thanks Angela - will check it out. The one in Elche is in fact huge as Kimmy11 said:  not one to be going to every week but worth going now and again to stock up on stuff that can't be found locally.. But will check out the one in EC! thanks
