Hello or Hola all, my wife and I are looking to relocate from the Essex in the UK to the El Verger area and was wondering if it’s a good place to live for us?

We are hoping to start our adventure next year and want to be within 15 minutes of the coast.

Many thanks

Keith

Will  it  be as a permanent Residents  or for Holidays,  it  all  depends  on what  Passport  you and your wife  have,  The  90  day  rule  you  might  read up on,

The  conquests   of Brexit  are the reason  for the  above,  I  would  read up  on 90 days  rule before  you look  for a Property  as it could affect  the type  of property  you  purchase

Hello, we are looking to move permanently and make it our final home so we want to get it right.

Yes we are aware of the 90 day rule etc created by Brexit but are hoping Spain do a deal with the UK to make it easier to move.

Spain can't  do a deal with  Spain  as it  Schehgen  rules apply there 🙄,   it  will  need agreements  with other members,

Have you visited and spent any time in El Verger? Which part are you considering?

If you are planning to move permanently I think it would be wise to investigate the Visa(s) that will be needed to enable you to live in Spain. The following links explain what is required of you and how to apply for an appropriate visa:

The advice in this post is very good, read it very carefully.

As far as El Verger is concerned, it's as good a place to live as anywhere else in this area. There's a good and wide selection of properties available, a very good retail offering, and plenty of restaurants and bars.

There's a long stretch of wide sandy beach and you're more or less half way and within easy reach of  Oliva and Denia. You can get onto the A7 motorway quite quickly at Oliva. Your nearest mainline railway station is Gandia, and you are equidistant between Valencia and Alicante airports.

Hello, no never actually visited there only driven past on the motorway but have been studying there and the surrounding areas on google earth. That’s why we would like some feedback from anyone that lives in the area as it seems to have good shops, hospital and shopping centre near by.

Thank you, that’s good to hear. My brother in law lives up the road in Gandia and has been there 24 years so he gives us plenty of information regarding Spanish law etc but we are just trying to find a decent area to settle which is near to the coast. El Verger seems nice but we have been looking a bit further inland as well as you seem to get more for your money. Monte Pego, Sanet Y Negrals, Pedreguer etc.
