Where to register our S1 forms.

Hello

Firstly you need to get a TIE (Residencia) before you can register your S1 form. You have to take your TIE with you, along with your passport to your nearest INSS office to register your SI , you will be given a form which you then take to your nearest Central  Salud  & you will be allocated a Dr.

 Again before you can apply for residencia you will need to register on the padron  at the townhall that covers the area where you live, it depends how competent you are  in spanish form filling to complete the  residencia proceedure yourselves.

Hi and thanks a lot.

The problem we have is the PADRON, we have a new build house and the developer has not complied with the Townhall requirements, so until the developer provides the information the Townhall will not grant us a PADRON. 

The developer is really bad news and they do not respond to our complaints regarding the Townhall requirements or any other issue.  We are in a spot,  and very worrying as Brexit is looming up.

What an awful position to be in &, other than getting legal help, which will be expensive & time consuming, I dont know what else you can do.

Registering on the padron is the 1st step to showing that you do actually live here - which is the criteria for applying for residencia.

I really do wish you luck with this stressful situation.

Yes I might have to take some legal advice. 

Strange,  the developer since November last year told us that the Townhall works very slow, but we have been told by the Townhall that the Developer has not complied to the regulations they require to grant The Licence Of First OCCUPATION. That was the last message I received from the Townhall last week.

If the Licence of First Occupation has not been granted,, then you really do need legal help if the Developer is proving difficult. Without this, utility companies are reluctant to enable supplies to the property and you cannot live there legally.

The Town Hall may tell you what is outstanding on the works, which will give you some preliminary information with which to consult a lawyer.
