Hi there,
extremely excited that we move to Beniarres next week from the UK (purchase goes through Tuesday ). We do need to buy a car - nothing fancy - but our Spanish language isn’t up to much at the moment (promise it will get better !) any advice on here best place to look ? We’re aware how careful we have to be in buying a secondhand car - local garage recommendations??

I would recommend FWR Eurocars near Alicante airport. Frank the owner is a genuine good guy and will do all the paperwork and help arranging insurance if you want him to.

And for anything to do with driving in Spain it may help you to have a look at the N332 website which is for English speaking people. The site, and their Facebook page, is run in collaboration with officers of the Guardia Civil and has an English version of the Spanish equivalent of the Highway Code.
