Take CV734 from Javea all the way out to the N332 at Miralbons. Head south on the N332 to the outskirts of Benissa, where you will see the signs for the motorway junction (AP7). Join the motorway heading south, direction Alicante. This is toll free all the way.

As Alicante city comes into sight in the distance, the motorway will split, you follow the signs for Aeropuerto (A70). This road takes you around the fringe of the city, obey the speed limit religiously, there are speed cameras, especially at the approach to the tunnel San Juan.

At the southern fringe of Alicante you take the exit 22 clearly marked airport. This brings you onto the N338, the airport is only about 2km along this road. If you are going to pick someone up, exit right into the airport (again well signed) and follow the signs for Departures. This takes you into a short stay parking area outside the terminal (10 minutes free) on the upper level, where you can meet your guest. There is no similar facility on the Arrivals level.

The best thing to do is lay up just outside the airport and ask your guest to call you when they have cleared the formalities and picked up their luggage. Tell them to head upstairs to the Departures Hall and step outside into the short stay parking area where you can drive in and meet them. There's a Costa Coffee booth just outside the Departures door which is a good meeting point.

Keep a close eye at your belongings at all times. Grifters are active.
