I believe that professional movers of whatever size or type may only carry animals if fully licensed and insured and the facilities comply with requirements from DEFRA. This is protect the animals. It is rare for removers as such to undertake this, due to the specialised nature of requirements. There are several animal transport firms online, make sure they are fully licensed.
This of course does not apply if you are carrying your own animals in your own vehicle, but sensible conditions and precautions should be taken.
