Hi Mark

Welcome to the forum and La Florida, I too have an apartment in La Florida, if I can be of any local assistance then please fire away.

Angar receive good recommendations on here for non res taxation, I believe they charge just €20 pp to do this for you.

PS Craig beat me to it and gave a more comprehensive reply lol.

Thanks a lot for your help that's great, was a bit worried I would get a big bill, only just found out about the tax, I thought this was covered in the Suma tax.👍

I use Sun Lawyers who do all the calculations and tell me when to make the payment, and for a fee of 100 Euro are available all year to answer any queries that I have.

Whoever you employ to pay the non resedent tax you will find a formula online which now is calculated at a higher percentage than when the uk was in Europe. I have just paid an increase of €33 per year as I believe that it is now calculated at 24% and not 19%. Of course that is for each person on the deeds so x2 for my wife and I.

How on earth is that comment helpful? The advice offered by members, on this thread, is not dependent on their opinion of remaining or leaving. Or, are you just wanting to be provocative 🤪🥂

Welcome to the forum!

We used Angar Taxation Services for our first year then calculated and paid it ourselves after that.

Angar only charge €20 plus what ever the amount of tax due is. If you own the property with somone else it's €20 each and the tax amount is split between you.

It's based on the Catastral value of the property. As an example, we own a 2 bed house in Playa Flamenca and paid €77 last year (€38.50 each). If we'd used Angar we would have paid €20 each extra which is not a lot.

I'm not saying your bill will be the same but it gives you an idea and its not as bad as some people think.

We used angar as well, after Jim recommended them, they were excellent and very reasonable, our estate agent offered to do it for us for €250!!!

Yes it seems they print their own money charge what they like, it's good to hear from first hand experience from users of this forum who can recommend services 👍
