Hello

Just a reminder.......Whatever Boris Johnson says today regarding his Traffic Light system & permissions for international travel,   e.g. to Spain ----  Please check the Spanish Government websites as Spain makes it's own decisions about  who can enter  the country - and the proof required, not the UK government.

This might avoid,  for some of you,  the confusion that occured  & continues to occur after the UKs last announcement on the subject.

Cheers

Hi El

Good advice!

As I know you’re in Spain (lucky beggar 😄), are you able to provide a reliable link so members can check Spain’s entry requirements. You may well have posted it before, but better twice than not at all! 🤪🥂

Hi Ange

You're right , there are several but trying to be current,I  have found this one...

https://www.schengenvisainfo.com/news/spain-prolongs-travel-restrictions-imposed-on-countries-outside-eu-until-end-of-april/

I will look for other links that might help... .

When the UK government eventually publish the traffic light system for travel from the UK It unfortunately appears that Spain will not be in the green zone due the the existing infection rate and slow vaccination roll out progress. I for one, wished and hoped it could be otherwise, but it’s definitely not looking that way. I think that Spain will be ready and eager to accept British holiday makers and second home owners into country, well before the UK gov allows us to travel to Spain.

Hi Hew,

I don't know the basis for your suggestion, but this article from today's Telegraph indicates that Spain is likely to be on the 'Green' list:

Kind regards,

Kim

Agree with you there and there are to many online news sites asking for subscriptions, i think it will be their loss.

Hi Portet,

My newspapers of choice are the Independent and the Financial Times, but after being accused of being a "left-wing Remainer", I deliberately post links from the Torygraph to satiate the opinions of those who haven't progressed beyond The Daily Fail  ;o)  And if you've seen the price of British newspapers in Spain, I think you may agree that the subscription costs actually represent good value for money - even the Torygraph, LOL!

Kind regards,

Kim
