Just to update my experience.

I’m 65 years old. I visited the Centro de Salud in La Mata in the last hour. I was given an appointment for both vaccinations on Wednesday.

We just missed each other, then. I was expecting them to tell me I'm too young (in my dreams!!) ...but apparently not.

Hope any side effects are small ones, El x

Hi Annie and El,

Good for you!  If you don't mind sharing, did you have Moderna this time and was it different to your original jabs?

My first two were AZ and my booster was Pfizer - at the time, data showed that this was a more effective combination against the current strains of Covid-19 than always having the same type of vaccine and, interestingly, more effective than having 2 x Pfizer, followed by an AZ booster.

Many thanks and kind regards,

Kim

Hi Kim

Original doses were Moderna , this booster was Pfizer. The only difference was, absolutely no side affects at all for me - nothing, so , having the Gripe (flu)  vaccine done at the same time in the other arm, I felt very lucky.

Cheers

El.

My booster was COMIRNATY manufactured by BIONTECH.

I’d not heard of this vaccine before.

I had very mild aches in both arms (had flu in right arm) and slight tiredness, but only in first 24 hours.

This is the Pfizer vaccine. Pfizer BioNTechComirnaty is the name. You’ll hear most vaccine referred to by different names. Sometimes the company name like Pfizer and Moderna and other times by Comirnaty/BioNTech, Spikevax
