Orange Sim Card?

When I was over in Spain last June I bought an 'Orange' sim card for my cell phone. I didn't use it at the time, but now that I am returning to Spain I have tried to put credit onto the Sim card through 'Recharge' online, but can't.

I have received an email saying that they have been unsuccessful in trying to put credit onto my Sim. Does anyone know why this is the case, does the sim card and tel. number become invalid after a certain amount of time if it not used?

Thanks

Jamie, I also got an orange sim last year whilst visiting. I do believe they expire if not topped up soon enough but I was looking at this just last weekend & thought I read a 12 month limit.

You must make sure you top up through the correct link as the normal orange top up won’t accept foreign cards. Topup.orange.com is the one that should work but I’ve not tested it yet.

Is that the web link you used ?

Cfell63. Thanks for the reply. I would be surprised if it was no longer valid, as I only got the Sim card 5 months ago. I used 'Recharge.com' they are supposed to be able to add credit to any Sim card in any country. You simply enter the Inter/l code + tel.No. and choose the amount of credit you want. You can pay by credit/debit card or Paypal. I have never used this method before, so I just chose a €10 top up and paid by Visa. As they have failed to top mine up they will re-credit my Visa card within 5 days. My Visa card is issued by a foreign bank, so maybe that is why it was not accepted. I will try again with Topup.orange.com and see if that works, as I will need to be able to use my phone when I arrive.
