We are thinking of bringing our Hyundai i40 car over next year and leaving at Alicante Airport so we can pick up when we land, how long can I keep it on british plates, as don't want to bring it back to UK to MOT. Would we have to pay import tax, if so how do you work out hoe much it would be. Im sure bringing our car would still be cheaper than buying one in Spain. Any advice would be good. Thanks Paul
Contact Graham or Leigh they will tell you everything you need to know but you will need to transfer to Spanish plates if you want to keep it here they can arrange everything including headlight change.

Keep it on UK plates for 180 days or until the UK mot expires. After this point you will have to register it as a Spanish vehicle or take it back the UK
