We have some older friends visiting later this month and we are looking for places to take them during the day. They don't want to spend days on the beach, but would like to visit some areas 'by the beach' or by a harbour or marina, where there is a choice of beach front restaurants and cafes and maybe the opportunity for a short promenade walk. Unfortunately, this is also our first year here, so we don't know the area that well, but I have been 'scouting' the area and have found some nice beaches, but there hasn't been much in the way of cafes or restaurants at the places I've found. Torrevieja Central is very busy and difficult to park. In fact, car parking seems to be difficult almost everywhere, which has to be considered with older visitors. Any recommendations for daytime locations appreciated.

Hi , santa Pola has a lovely marina, and you can get a boat across to tabarca for 10€ , well worth a visit

La Mata would be nice for them. Nice beach with good quality bars & restaurants with seats outside on the sand. Nice square to sit in too and a lot of free street parking alongside
