I’m a newbee Hello ….Due to problems with our bank in Spain my husband was hoping to travel over this Saturday. But I’m so confused with all the COVID rules. We live in Wales so not the same as England. When my husband is due to fly the travel rules are due to change. This is great no 10 day isolation. Still unsure on how many PCT tests he has to apply for.
We have our double vaccination certificate. So I’m assuming we don’t need to do a PCR test to fly out. However he is flying with Ryanair and I’m wondering if anyone on here has any info on this are they insisting on the PCR test as well as vaccination certificates. Any advice would be much appreciated.

Rules change announced by Wales to drop isolation bring in line with  England.

For travel to Amber Countries (includes all of Spain and the islands)

To enter Spain you need a double jabbed Covid Certificate or if you don’t have that you need a PCR test, plus a completed passenger locator form

https://www.spth.gob.es/  Or can be done on an app

Adults returning to England, Scotland or Wales after  4.00am 19 July will need

A completed passenger locator form  as link below and an antigen fit to fly test taken less than 72 hours before departure

https://provide-journey-contact-details.homeoffice.gov.uk/passengerLocatorFormUserAccountHolderQuestion

plus the following

If you hold an Covid  certificate saying you have been jabbed  in the U.K., you just need to book and pay for a Day 2 Diagnostic PCR test, with no need to isolate. Test suppliers found on  the website for your own country.

If you don’t have a U.K. issued Covid certificate then you need to isolate for 10 days and book  Day 2 and Day 8 tests.

It is expected that NI will adapt these regulations on 26 July.

Thank you so much Lynn really appreciate you taking the time to reply. After listening to our Welsh minister today it seemed clearer.  Just worried about the 2 and 8 day testing he gave no mention to this. And if you went on the Welsh gov website it is still giving old information.

I think we have a clearer picture …so daunting though in case you miss something.

thanks again xx

Yes they’re a bit slow in changing the information, but to be honest you have to search a bit on the gov.uk site to find the rules from the 19th July.

Found a article for you

https://www.walesonline.co.uk/whats-on/travel/new-rules-wales-travel-self-21049990

but again it’s not crystal clear about day 8 test, but he did say on TV that the rules for travel back to Wales were to be brought in line with England.

I’m sure the Welsh gov site will change today.
