Hi Nicola, that was very useful I didn’t know that as I too have been looking for Keyholders/ cleaners to manage our property whilst we are back in the UK.

I thought it would be more cost effective to use someone who was local to keep an eye on the place & do the change overs if possible? There does seem to be dare I say, ladies over 55 who are available to do this and ask guests to leave cash for their cleaning costs after their stay. Or we charge the cleaning as extra and pay afterwards they also charge a monthly key holding service? Anything else you want can be added and charged extra. So are you saying if we we went rent out the villa then we are fined for using someone like this? And how much are the fines?

Do we need to look out for something else when using a keyholding or cleaning company too? Many thanks for any advice you can give? I don’t want to start renting our villa out and being fined for being naive or not knowing the full facts!!’

There are so many keyholders/cleaners giving own advice to me but NOT one is the same advice & varies! What would you do for the best? And would you place your villa on the Spanish websites such as Air b&b holiday lettings (in Murcia) etc
