Hi there I’m hoping someone could help me , me and my partner , along with our 2 little girls are looking to move to La Zenia. How hard is it to secure work ? I’m looking to get into the removals trade as that’s what I do in London , also if anyone could let me no rough rental prices for 2 bed properties that would be great !! I have done so much googling but just feel I’m not getting the info I really want ! Thanks guys , hope to hear back soon :)

If you google "removals Costa Blanca", you could try contacting each company asking for work because, as Kimmy says, if you have a contract of work in place, that is your best chance.
I have a friend who moved here with her family when she was 7 and she fitted in easily and picked up the language quickly at a Spanish school and all her friends are Spanish.
There are many rental agencies online and if you move inland a little, the prices drop.
I have total admiration for the removal men we used when we moved in the July as it was absolutely scorching hot and had been for months. How they didn't drop anything when they were absolutely dripping is beyond me. Right now, at 10.45 am it is 30 in the shade and 37 in the sun and due to rise to 36/45 (?) later with between 10 to 15 hours of sun per day for the whole week.
I wish you luck but without a contract, ideally you would bring enough money to totally support yourselves for the first year and have a plan B.

To succeed in Spain. You need a few things.

Ideally not have to work at all and live off a pension etc.

A large amount cash to tide you over for at least 6-9 mths

A unique trade or skill set which is not provided already. Unfortunately removals is one of those services that is already widely offered legally and illegally.

Fluent Spanish as this widens the range of opportunities available to you.

Spain is littered with people who move to Spain with the same dreams . Most of which end up going home or working illegally for a pittence.
