I’m looking for transport from Alicante airport in the late evening. (previous visit, hired a car). Can you recommend a taxi company etc and how much it would cost. Travelling to La Zenia.

A taxi from the taxi rank outside arrivals will be the same price as any other taxi. It says €75 on their website for La Zenia. The taxi co for the Airport taxis is Radio Taxi Elche- link below. There is the direct airport bus from the Airport to Torrevieja Bus Station. The bus picks up at the Airport just down from the Costa Coffee booth outside Departures on Level 2. €7 one way, pay on the bus. Last departure 9.00pm. Then take taxi to La Zenia approx €25 from outside the Bus Station front entrance.

Avanza the bus company that run the airport bus and the Torrevieja Urban and Inter-Urban buses, has an App that you can download "Avanza Bus App Torrevieja" it gives all the Urban and Inter-urban timetables.
