Hello

My left her handbag by mistake in the toilet at Alicante Airport with money, bank cards and more importantly her SIP Card. Does anyone know how we get a new one. Do we apply through the Medical Centre in San Miguel (where we got it in the first place) or through our doctors surgery. I do not have a photocopy of it but I do have the number. Thanks Patrick

Hi Patrick

It depends on whether your surgery have a machine for producing the cards - some of the smaller ones don't - so ask there first.

They will obviously want proof of identity, and may ask to see the denuncia you got when you reported the loss to the Guardia Civil.

Hi Jim

Thanks for replying. More in hope than anything else we went to Health Centre in San Miguel High St and spoke to them. Lady said we needed our passport and NIE. Back we went home and got those and returned to San Miguel where the lady printed out the new SIP Card with same SIP Number. Could not believe it. Did not report to Guardia Civil just Security at Alicante Airport where she left the bag. Thanks again. Patrick
