La Herrada Commercial centre

Hi, we were looking at LA Herrada,We liked the houses, the area and the closeness to Los Montesinos, the canal etc . There is lots of new build work going on which we though of as positive. The supermarket was good too.
The thing that seems to let the area down in our eyes, was the Commercial centre, we thought it looked a little tired. Does anyone know if it is likely to be updated at all.
We were told there plans to to build another one opposite it, but no date (and this was by an estate agent), so a little skeptical.
