Hi,

Is there a direct bus route from Alicante airport to Muro de Alcoy?

If so, is it simple enough to do or what's the best alternative for this route?

We don't drive so car hire wouldn't be an option for us.

Cheers

Hello, looking online with Rome2rio, this is about right for a return journey and there is no direct public transport. It is possible by public transport if the timing is right but includes 3 buses with one of them running every 3 hours and another running just 4 times a day.

Thanks Cheryl.

Given the bus times and schedule looks like easiest option is to get a taxi, any chance you know of any reliable companies that offer a transfer service to/from Alicante airport and Muro de Alcoy - is €220 about right cost wise?

My daughter will now be flying over in July on her own and I want to know she'll be safe with a reputable taxi service (as is arriving at night).

Cheers Howell.

Hello Howell, I've just looked online,no personal experience but as a comparison, I checked price from Gatwick to Camberley, roughly same distance, and the price would be between 200-260 GBP so price seems fair. If you use a registered cab firm I can't see any safety issues for your daughter but hopefully someone who regularly uses airport taxis can give some recommendations as there have been a couple of posts indicating that the return pick ups with some firms are not always reliable.

Hi... we are now leaving in Muro as from tomorrow, Tuesday. We are running a “ Private Chauffeur “ service from Muro to Alicante and Valencia airport, with a Ford 9 seaters. If you need any help in future please let us know. Thank you. Kind regards. Serge  & Julie

To check is this service all licensed, registeted and insured for passenger hire, as you have put Private Chauffeur in inverted commas?

If so, how can I verify this, can you confirm your rates and business contact details for bookings?

Cheers

Hi Howell, sorry for late reply. We are on the Cap Finistere travelling to Bilbao. Please would be kind to give us until Wednesday, as we only arrive in Bilbao around 7.45am and rage time to drive down to Muro, we won't arrive before late afternoon. Our private email is: sergedjj@me.com. Please sent me an email so we can give you the details in what we are doing. We know only a few British people in Muro. My wife is British and although I am French, after 33 years of living in England, my heart is British too!

Thank you and we look forward to keeping you updated on Wednesday. Kind regards. Serge & Julie

Hi Howell

Have you considered hiring a car to collect your daughter, I’m sure it’ll be a lot cheaper than €220?

Hi Howell,

I guess you had my reply yesterday. I am working as Autonomo (Certificate confirmed and stamped by my Asesario, through first the town hall and Social Security) as a Guide Touristic and by the same token, Private Chauffeur too as I would collect my future clients from Airports. As we arrived now for good in Muro, I am finalising the most important document with the Insurance through my bank. As you mentioned your Daughter arrived in July, I am guaranteeing you all would be in place well before, as I need to keep going as soon as my final paper work is in place ( Insurance)... the website and the rest will follow in due course. A thought.., why don’t you come with me to collect her as a surprise?!... you are welcome, and don’t be afraid I don’t charge clients for that service... oh non, especially when we both live in Muro!..also my cost won’t be so high as mentioned!... anyway, it would be so nice to meet up and introduce ourselves. And if you have found already someone, so be it, don’t worry. Thank you. Kind regards. Serge & Julie
