I bought a lovely property there in 2016 . And have enjoyed our holidays there very much .

Unfortunately we were the victims of a burglary in may of this year and all our solar equiptment was stolen .

The thieves took all 24 of the batteries . Half of our solar panels the inverter cables power tools ect .

As the house was run on solar we were left without power .

I'm a carer for two elderly disabled relatives that live with us so have been unable to visit our lovely house as theres no light hot water ect ...

Were worried about replacing the solar as who ever took the solar came back to take the remaining equiptment and the police said that it's someone local that's been watching our comings and goings .

Which as you can imagine is really worrying !

I'd rather not replace the solar with more of the same as they might be tempted to return .

I've been told that it's a possibility to connect to the grid but after contacting them via email and being told its feasible.  Theres been no news since . I've been awaiting a reply for several months .

And just wondered if anyone might has connected recently that would have an idea of cost !

There is a pole with connections about 100metres from the house and the access seems quite straight forward but never having to have dealt with this issue befor just wondered if anyone might be a bit more informed .

Rgds to all . Gx

Do you have a safe storage place there? Or at a friend's place?
Then one option would be a mobile power station with mobile solar panels that are only set up when you are on site and are otherwise stored safely.

Hello .

 thankyou for your suggestion .

It's something to consider if connection to the grid doesnt work out .

Kind regards
