Do to the lack of reliable people, I am thinking of trying to maintain our pool on my own. I am not a permanent resident so the pool would be unattended for a few months at a time.
Does any one else on the forum do this? Should I buy a pool cover? I would be grateful for any advice and information and if forum members think it a good or bad idea.

I'm not a fan of pool covers.
You need to maintain at least the chlorine level, and have the circulation running every day.
