My wife and I are travelling from France via Barcelona to stay in Parcent for 2 months in August. I am having no luck in finding out the best options for public transport (train or bus) that will get me from Barcelona or Valencia to Parcent or within 20-50km so my friends could pick me up.
If anyone has current advice, I would love to hear on how it could work for us.

Don't know about buses, but the nearest I think you could get to by train is from Valencia via Xativa to Cocentaina.
Just use renfe.es. Costs about €9.
