Pedreguer is basically a small Spanish working town. I cannot tell you about bus services, other than to say that usually public transport here, outside major cities, is nowhere near as comprehensive as UK and that most foreign residents would find it extremely difficult to be without a vehicle.
Brexit - how long is a piece of string? The UK has now left the EU, but the lengthy negotiations about everything are only just about to begin. Currently, if you are below retirement age, and applying for residency, you would have to demonstrate a certain level of income and also prove that you have obtained private healthcare paid in advance for a year. After the year, you may be able to pay into the local Valencian health care system, entitling you to use the Spanish health service.
If you are over retirement age and in receipt of a pension, at the moment you can obtain form S1 from Newcastle which basically transfers your healthcare rights from the UK to Spain - the UK government pays for it.
However, you are talking about ‘some time in the next two years’ and with the greatest respect, this is fairly vague; no-one really knows what future applications will require, although we understand that current residents’ rights are protected. Would suggest that you follow the UK Govt website - sorry, don’t have the link readily available , but easily found online - which gives weekly updates on moving/living in Spain.
It may help you to establish exactly your personal financial position, whether you would require private healthcare and the cost, whether you intend to buy a property or rent and so on.
