What is ‘Lite Yoga’ ? A form of yoga training that utilises the foundation poses 'Asanas' of traditional Hatha Yoga taught slowly and individually with the emphasis on correct alignment of the muscular skeletal system. A full range of yoga poses is taught, however consideration is given to differing body types, shapes, age and gender. Student can learn modified poses suitable for their body type, level of fitness and mobility. Learn how to assume and exit the postures (Asanas) safely and in such a way as to reduce risk of injury. Once basics are learned students are progressed onto sequences of postures linked together into a flow of movement. (Vinyasa). Some standing postures are adopted with a shorter more upright stance making this style of yoga more suitable for those who lack flexibility. Where necessary students are encouraged to uses props and supports. eg . yoga blocks, straps, chairs etc. Account is taken of students age, build, gender and body type.- Benefits- Increased mobility and flexibility, better circulation, builds muscle and stabilises posture. (Classes may not be suitable for more experienced Yoga practitioners). The Ideal class for those seeking to learn Yoga from the ground up.Men and Women NEW CLASS FOR 2020 Mixed class open to both men and women. Classes lead by Howard.
